
Summit Groups
A Summit Group is a small group discipleship ministry for men and women who desire to grow in their obedience and faithfulness to Christ in order to glorify the Father by bearing much fruit.
"This is to my Fathers glory that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." John 15:8
Objectives:

To challenge men and women to live faithfully for the Lord Jesus Christ.

To develop a heart of obedience to the Lord.

To establish and maintain consistency in the basic spiritual disciplines of the Christian faith.

To create an environment of spiritual growth consisting of instruction, encouragement, discipline and accountability.

To lay a spiritual foundation for fruitfulness in Christ through deeds, character and service in the Body of Christ.
Discipleship Process:
1. Each Summit Group will consist of one facilitator and three men or women that will have as a goal of meeting once a week for instruction, sharing, encouragement, accountability and prayer for nine months.
2. Participating men and women must enter into the Summit Group Covenant.
A. To commit to the discipleship process for nine months.
B. To be available to faithfully attend the group discipleship ses sions.
C. Do the individual discipleship assignments: reading required books, Scripture study, journal writing, topic research, etc.
D. Participate in a weekly corporate prayer times at church.
E. To consistently serve in a ministry area of the church.
3. Instruction and leadership of the group sessions will be brought by special speakers and other qualified people in the church.
Specific Goals:
1. To establish a pattern of spiritual responsibility for growth toward Christian maturity.
2. To establish a solid Christian character producing integrity in word and deed.
3. To develop and maintain a regular, daily devotional time with God consisting of Bible reading and prayer.
4. To become obedient in personal finances to the Lord as taught in scripture.
5. To live a self-controlled (Spirit-controlled) life free from damaging habits that adversely affect your physical body, God’s Temple; and diminish the impact of your example and Christian witness to family, church, community and world.
6. To accept the role of spiritual guide and serve those in your realm of influence.
7. To identify your spiritual gifts and how God desires to have you serve in the Body of Christ and faithfully engage your service.
8. To actively and faithfully serve in a specific area in the ministry of the church learning he value of a servant’s heart.
